Growth in Homes for Sale Boosts Buyer Choice
9th April 2024
- There are a fifth (20%) more homes available for sale compared to the same time last year, boosting buyer choice.
- Encouraged by the usual spring bounce and a 9% annual increase in property sales, more people are putting their home on the market.
- 61% of agents reported an increase in supply in the sales market over the last three months, while 23% reported similar levels.
- Despite rising confidence, buyers remain price conscious and continue to negotiate on price. Two-fifths of sales agreed in March were at least 5% below the asking price.
