£24k premium for energy efficient homes

84% of all new build properties sold across England and Wales in 2019 to date sold with the highest energy rating of A/B, the figure for re-sale properties is just 7%.
However, re-sale properties sold in 2019 with an A/B rating have attracted a 8.6% price premium, the equivalent to £24,000 compared to those sold with the average UK energy rating of D.
Installing a new boiler, central heating, cavity wall or double glazing are all liable to offer an immediate return on investment if you’re looking to make your home cosy this Christmas.
