Head over heels in love with your home?
13th February 2023
Buying a home is like falling in love. You can expect to go through the same ups and downs, emotional tugs and pulls, and even similar stages.
The one that got away? Don’t panic, there are plenty more fish in the sea! 2023 is predicted to be a buyer’s market and around 1 million properties are expected to change hands (UK Finance).
Broken heart? Don’t worry, it’s not just you! It is estimated in the region of 1 in 3 property sales fall through before completion. Buyers having a change of heart is the biggest cause.
Hopelessly devoted to that home? Don’t be a fool in love, never settle for what doesn’t feel right! According to the 2021/22 English Housing Survey an owner-occupier spends on average 17.6 years in their home, so pick well as you are in it for the long haul!
